Officer Shannen Hogue

Vice President

A Yonkers native, the oldest of nine and a graduate of Roosevelt High School, Shannen is Currently assigned to the YPD Community Affairs Division. She is a John Jay College alumnus and holds a bachelor's degree and master's degree in forensic psychology.

Shannen is a member of Yonkers Mayor Spano’s African American Advisory Board, as well as the YPD’s LGBTQ Liaison.

Officer Hogue has been a member of the Yonkers Police Department since 2013 and a member of the Guardians Association since 2014. She has served on the Guardians board since 2016, and was elevated to the position of Vice President in 2022. Shannen is also both a YPD police recruiter, as well as a cadet instructor.

In 2020 Shannen co-founded the community based organization, The Hogue Foundation. In 2021, she received the NABLEO (National Association of Black Law Enforcement Officers) community leadership award.

And in 2022 Shannen Hogue obtained Wall of Fame status at her alma mater Roosevelt High School. An honor she hopes will inspire other young Black girls to reach new heights.
